CONCRETE CARPENTER

A concrete carpenter at Diablo General Engineering works with the Site Concrete Foreman to read survey stakes and set forms for a variety of site concrete features such as curbs, sidewalks, walls, etc. We are very focused on having a team member with a great attitude and strong work ethic.

If you're a local laborer who's tired of travelling around the state for work, this role is for you. We primarily work in the Alameda, Contra Costa, and Solano Counties.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to dig, bend over, climb ladders, and lift over 75lbs regularly.

• Good attitude and willingness to learn.

• Strong work ethic.

• Basic grasp of the English language.

• Driver’s license & vehicle to travel to different job sites throughout East Bay & North Bay.

• Ability to read civil engineering plans and survey stakes.

• Experience forming the following:

  • Curb & Gutter

  • Vertical Curb

  • Rolled Curb

  • ADA Ramps

  • Driveway Aprons

  • Inlet Tops

  • V-Ditches

  • Sidewalks

  • Streetlight Bases​

DAILY TASKS COULD INCLUDE:

• Installing small storm drain pipe, inlets, and trench drains.

• Forming retaining walls

• Forming trash enclosures

• Helping pour & finish concrete

• Helping strip and clean forms.
